TrueBeggar is a fictitious organization that offers a label of origin for beggars. Givers can search the site to check a beggars background. The manual provided by TrueBeggar instructs the beggar on how to behave in order to become successful.
This is a critical design project which mirrors the opinions that givers express concerning beggars. Speculating about the potential consequences of our own prejudice. It’s meant to force the viewer to reflect on the issue. Is this good or bad? Is it reasonable to lay responsibility on individuals trying to make a living best they know how or is begging a structural problem in society?
