The first concept is a stackable chair stripped down to the essential frame and seat. Crossing tubular aluminium makes up the frame that draws inspiration from automotive roll cages. The emphasized waist adds character to a minimal and lightweight design.
The second concept has a confident look with a wide stance leading up to a circular back uppholstered in perforated fabric.

This project was a pure a styling exercise. I decided to investigate what a next generation Aston Martin Vantage might look like.
I wanted to keep its powerful, elegant and modern looks. The goal was to evolve existing design cues such as the grille, headlights and taillights so that these elements create a cohesive flow of lines. The result is a smoother design where key elements flow from front to back seamlessly. The thick a-pillar brings a powerful character to the car. The side vent and lower front vent was removed completely, instead the grille and back break-up was given more emphasis.
The design is focused on ease of use and simplicity resulting in a less cluttered product. The sides slide together for easy storage and there’s space underneath for the power cable. The toaster is just under 10 cm wide closed. The lift and heat control has been merged into one unit. The heat control lacks visual markings. Instead the different heat modes can be felt thru tactile stops.
The design incorporates Philips signature rounded corners. The rubber strip protects the edges and highlights the slide-open feature.
Inspired by those sweet digital watches that came out of the 80’s. The watch features a black metal frame and thick glass mounted together by hex head screws for a robust look.
A dressed up leather sneaker with natural colored rubber sole. The ring on the heel and hole in the tongue makes it easier to put them on.
This project was born out of basic stick figure sketching. The legs create a magazine stand and the lampshade works as a dimmer. White, semi-transparent discs soften the LED light source. Remove the two legs and the lamp can be hung from the ceiling. The lamp is 150 cm tall and the lampshade diameter is 25 cm.
The objective was to reduce the motorcycle to an easily identifiable and pure shape, as has been done on the Playsam Stremliner toy car. The wooden motorcycle can stand on its own and is 8 cm long.
Variations of an aluminum/leather card holder concept where the front and back are the same. Simplicity, quality materials and hand crafted finish are key features.
